Who we are and what this covers
AVEVUE LLC (“avevue,” “we,” “us”) is a digital agency based in Charlotte, North Carolina. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you visit avevue.com, contact us, apply to work with us, use our client portal, review a proposal or Scope of Work we send you, or subscribe to one of our platform products (such as our menu and booking products).
It does not cover websites we build for our clients once they are live under the client’s own name. Those sites follow the client’s own privacy policy.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Inquiries. When you request a brand audit or apply to become a client, we collect your name, email address, business name, website or social profile, the services you’re interested in, your budget range, how you heard about us, and anything you tell us about your business.
- Job applications. Your name, email address, portfolio or LinkedIn link, skills, message, and the résumé you upload.
- Accounts. Your name, email address, and password (stored only as a secure hash). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from Google.
- Client work. Files, support requests, attachments, messages, scheduling details, and other content you share with us through the client portal or by email while we work together.
- Agreements and signatures. When you approve a Scope of Work, we record your name, title, company, email address, your typed or drawn signature, the time of approval, and a digital fingerprint of the exact version you approved.
- Billing. Subscriptions are paid through Stripe. Stripe collects your card details directly; we never see or store your full card number. We keep a record of your plan, billing status, and invoices.
- Other messages. Anything you send us by email or through other forms on pages we host, such as an event RSVP.
Information collected automatically
- Analytics. We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand which pages are read. It records page views with general details such as the referring page, browser, operating system, device type, and country. It does not use cookies and does not follow you across other websites.
- Security and delivery. Our hosting provider processes your IP address to serve the site, and we use it briefly to limit abuse of our forms. It may appear in server logs.
- Document views. When you open a proposal or Scope of Work we sent you, we record when it was first opened.
Information from other sources
We research businesses we think we can help. That research uses publicly available business information, such as company websites, business listings, public reviews, and professional profiles, and it can include the name and work contact details of people at that business. We also receive information from people who refer you to us, and from Google when you choose to sign in with it.
How we use information
- To reply to your inquiry, assess fit, and prepare proposals and Scopes of Work.
- To deliver the work we agreed to, manage projects, and give you access to the client portal.
- To run our platform products, including sending booking confirmations on behalf of the business you booked with.
- To process payments, keep billing records, and send receipts and account notices.
- To contact businesses about work we think would help them. You can opt out at any time.
- To review job applications.
- To keep the site and our services secure and to prevent spam, fraud, and abuse.
- To understand how the site is used and improve it.
- To meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations and enforce our agreements.
AI tools
We build with AI, and we use it in our own work. Our team uses AI tools, including Anthropic’s Claude, to research businesses, draft proposals and documents, and prepare deliverables. Information connected to an inquiry or engagement may be processed by these tools.
A person on our team reviews AI-assisted work before it reaches you. We don’t use AI to make automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
Our platform products and your customers
Businesses use our platform products to publish menus and take reservations. When you book with one of those businesses, we collect your name, email address, optional phone number, party size, date and time, and any notes you add. We process that information on the business’s behalf and use it only to run the service, such as sending your confirmation email.
The business is responsible for how it uses your booking details. For requests about them, contact the business directly. We’ll help them respond. Please keep booking notes to what the business needs to know; avoid sharing sensitive details beyond what’s necessary for your visit, such as an allergy.
How long we keep information
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above. Inquiry and prospect information is kept while it stays relevant to a possible working relationship. Client, project, and account information is kept for the length of our relationship. Signed agreements, invoices, and billing records are kept for as long as the law and our accounting obligations require. When we no longer need information, we delete it or remove what identifies you.
Your choices and rights
- Access, correction, and deletion. Ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it. We may keep what we’re legally required to keep, such as signed agreements and billing records.
- Marketing email. Reply to any message from us, or email connect@avevue.com, and we’ll stop contacting you about new work. We’ll still send messages about an active project, account, or subscription.
- Your account. Email us to close your account.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local privacy law, such as the right to know how your information is used or to opt out of certain processing. We’ll honor those rights as the law requires. To make a request, email connect@avevue.com. We’ll verify your identity before acting on it, and if we decline a request, you can ask us to reconsider by replying to our decision.
Security
We protect information with encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, role-based access for our team, and payment processing through Stripe, which is certified to the payment card industry’s security standard (PCI DSS). No system is perfectly secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security. If we learn of a breach that affects your personal information, we’ll notify you as the law requires.
Children
Our services are meant for businesses and adults. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
Where information is processed
We’re based in the United States, and our service providers store and process information in the United States. If you contact us from elsewhere, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we’ll update the effective date at the top. If a change materially affects how we use your personal information, we’ll give you notice, such as by email or a notice on the site, before it takes effect.
